Kirtan, or chanting mantra in a group, is a powerful way to connect with your heart, calm your mind, and experience a sense of community and spiritual connection.

That's what kirtan is like. You don't need to be a "good singer" or have any musical experience to participate in kirtan. It's about surrendering to the moment, letting go of your inhibitions, and allowing the mantra to transport you to a deeper state of consciousness.

Baby and Me Series
With Shelley Anderson Tuesdays 10:30-11:30am Jan 7-Feb 11th
This series uses yoga postures into which parents gently guide their baby. These postures improve digestion, relieve gas pains and mild colic, improve sleep, help with parent/child bonding, and many other benefits. We also include yoga for you, the parent, to relieve the changes in your body you experienced from having given birth or from the changes in how you now use your body (lifting, carrying, holding a baby, etc.), and to relieve stress. Shelley incorporates her joy of working with babies and their parents into the practice along with her knowledge of infant development, infant massage, and yoga for adults. This is gentle practice and a great way to connect with your baby and other parents. No prior yoga experience needed.

In this beginner series, Melissa will cover the basics of yoga including movement, breath work and meditation. Classes will begin with centering and stillness, followed by movement into basic yoga poses and we will finish with a guided savasana meditation. The classes will gradually develop over the series.
This series is great for beginners or those looking to go back to the basics!
