Kirsten found yoga after her eldest son was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called MPS in 2001. A former professional figure skater, Kirsten was drawn to the movement, strength and grace of yoga asana, but soon realized it was the connection to her breath that helped her still her mind and calm her spirit.
For ten years, she honed her yoga practice (which evolved from Ashtanga to Vijnana to Vinyasa Flow and Power) while supporting and advocating for Canadians affected with MPS and other rare diseases as the executive director of the Canadian MPS Society.
In the spring of 2015, she took a leap of faith and enrolled in the Karma Teachers Teacher Training Program, a revolutionary experience that deepened her knowledge and love of yoga and her commitment to a dedicated practice rooted in selfless service. She is excited to share her passion for yoga with others seeking a tool for transformation.
Growing up strong and independent Rachelle travelled solo to many beautiful and rich cultured countries. During her stay in Peru, Rachelle did some intense soul searching and found that living a yogic life is her true path. Astonished by how much the physical and spiritual practice improved her entire being, she decided to spread the love to whomever would listen. Rachelle received her 200hr yoga teacher training certification in Prince George May 2016, and another 200hr Hatha training on Vancouver Island that Novemeber.
Rachelle is the owner of Sunset Studio and very passionate about creating a welcoming space where yoga is affordable, sustainable, safe and fun.
Justine's background ranges from working in tourism, guiding dogsled, hiking, and historic tours, to animal welfare, youth work, child protection, and more. Hailing from Ontario, she has also lived in the Yukon, Newfoundland and Labrador, and now happily makes Prince George, British Columbia her home. First introduced to yoga many years ago it wasn't until the winter of 2013 that she became a dedicated practitioner. Easily stuck in her head, Justine appreciates the balanced mind-body connection that yoga fosters. What she values most about yoga is the mental and physical strength and flexibility that her practice has given her, benefits she loves to share with her students. When off the mat, you'll find Justine hiking or playing with her dogs, strength training at the gym, or being a couch potato. Having completed her teacher training in June of 2017, Justine teaches Yin, and Fusion.
Born in Prince George and raised in many different places, Ashleigh had the joy of being introduced to yoga at a young age. Through her journey, Ashleigh has travelled to many different countries and has experienced many cultures and this has led her on a path to self-discovery. However, it was not until she became a mother of two fabulous children that she found her way back to yoga.
On this path, she found herself coming back repeatedly to yoga and, because of this, decided at the beginning of 2017 to become a yoga teacher. Studying through the SOYA curriculum, she obtained her Yoga Teacher Certification in 2017 and has since continued on to further training in Children's Yoga through Cosmic Kids Yoga.
Ashleigh hopes to help bring joy, peace and love to the mat and to her classes and she is excited to be a part of the Sunset family.

Andra believes that the magic and peace of yoga stems from the breath, the core and the heart. Her classes welcome all yogis to find innner and outer connection. She has practiced various styles of yoga for over ten years, and received her yoga teacher certification at Vinyasa Yoga School in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas. When not in the yoga studio, Andra enjoys the mountain bike and ski trails and keeps busy in her social work graduate studies. She looks forward to meeting you in class!
Alisha has loved movement from a young age, participating in everything from ballet to BMX racing. She has taught Middle Eastern dance, and is a personal trainer. Through these things she discovered a passion for guiding people towards a new experience or goal. Yoga has helped her bring balance and self compassion into her own life, and she hopes to bring this sense of peace into all of her students' lives. Having completed the 200 hour training through SOYA in June 2017, she looks forward to growing as a teacher and as a student.

Shailen has been practicing yoga for ten years and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica as well as her 300 hour yoga teacher training in India. Originally inspired by the health and wellness aspect of yoga, Shailen discovered the spiritual connection to her practice and herself and decided to pursue a more in depth and personal experience in her yogic path. Both personally and professionally, Shailen has always been drawn to helping others and enjoys the connection that yoga provides. Finding the yogic way of life has brought happiness, healing and an overall well-being to Shailen’s life and she is excited to share that experience with the yoga community
